Are you or a friend getting married? There are a few stag weekend games, which will lighten the atmosphere, and also ensure a lot of fun along the way! These games are a great way to fill up the time with some fun activities, which everyone will remember for a long time to come.

Pass-the-cam

Pass-the-cam is a very fun and easy game, which can kick-start a party. All that is required is a digital camera with auto-focus and a self-timer. The participants are supposed to sit in a circle and press the shutter, and then start passing the camera around, with the lens pointing towards their own faces. The round ends when the photograph is finally taken.

A way to spice up this game can be fun and wacky punishments for the loser, i.e., the person who got on the picture, would have to drink a glass of orange soda mixed with beer.

Treasure Hunt

Once a popular kid’s game, this modified version of a treasure hunt is a must in any list of stag weekend games. Here the requirements are also minimal, consisting only of a few bits of paper, and some camera phones and/or digital cameras.

This game is played with two teams, each writing 10 items for the rival team to find. The items themselves cannot be written, but must be described as clues using a minimum of eight words. The items, once found, must be captured on a camera for verification against the clues. Both teams must start out with an equal number of cameras, to ensure fairness.

The first team to find all 10 items is the winner.

To make this game even more interesting, the stakes can be made, e.g., the losing team will sponsor the next stag weekend activity.

This is a long but fun-filled game, which can surely eat up the hours, but it requires some amount of pre-planning for execution.

Roxanne

This is a drinking game, which also uses two teams. All that is required for this game is some drinks, and the song “Roxanne” by The Police. The two teams have to be either named Roxanne or Red Light. When the song starts playing, and whenever the words “Roxanne” or “Red Light” are heard, the respective teams have to take a drink.

Actually, this game can be played using any song, which has two or more recurring words.

This game lasts as long as the song, but is a great game to play, and it maintains its place as one of the classic stag weekend games.

The above games are sure to breathe life into any stag weekend and ensure that the attendees remember this fun event for a long time to come.

When arranging a glorious stag weekend, there are certain stag weekend rules which you, as the host, have to follow.

Gone are the days when a stag weekend used to be a bunch of old friends sitting in a bar, downing huge kegs of beer and singing merrily. Stag parties nowadays are much more complex to execute, as more often than not, they are planned over whole weekends. So here are some general stag weekend rules to adhere to, in order to ensure that things go according to the plan.

Plan in Advance: Unless it’s just a quick trip to the local pub, it’s always better to plan the destination and activities in advance. It would be very embarrassing if you had to reschedule the announced date, and all the invitees had to wait for the trip to finally materialize.

Invitees: The list of invitees is mostly automatically filled up, but it’s worth sparing a thought about who will be compatible with whom, and who will not take too kindly going to the destination you are headed to. For example, asking a non-drinker to come to the pub will ensure that he remembers the event for all the wrong reasons.

Date(s): This is one of the most fundamental stag weekend rules. It is always good to arrange things a month in advance. This gives everyone enough of a notice to take time out for the big occasion. Also, consult each of the invitees and fix a date when most of the people can make it.

Locations: Now this solely depends on the budget of the whole affair. Ask everyone concerned about how much they are willing to contribute. Getting a good budget ensures that the quality of accommodation and activities will be better.

Just as a benchmark, a small budget is good for a good night out, a medium budget ensures a weekend stay, and a large budget will probably get a weekend stay abroad.

Activities: Now, all the funds cannot be used for deciding on the location alone. It would be pretty embarrassing if you took the boys to a swanky resort for a weekend, but were left with no money afterwards to do anything there. The activities also have to be planned keeping the guests in mind. If they like high adrenaline things, you might consider paragliding; if they are into races; Go-karting is a definite option, and so on.

Most Important Rule of All: Here is one of the most important stag weekend rules, if not the most important one. Have FUN from the very beginning! Treat the journey as a part of the weekend, and be sure to lighten the mood, dispensing with any sense of urgency. This is not a business trip. Take some cheesy music, a pack of cards and board games to enjoy the journey and the time spent at the destination.
